MLP: Bon Bon Backpack

So after Welovefine started making backpacks I thought they were amazing. So, I decided to try my own hand at it. In the process of making this backpack I determined two things. First, I wanted it to be bigger than the models they made. Second, I didn't like the front pocket idea. A friend suggested saddle bags instead, which was a brilliant idea.

Pretty much the entire thing is made from fleece. In total, the backpack weights about 6 or 7 pounds but sits really comfortably on the shoulders. The eyes and cutie marks are all machine embroidered. In fact, though I did the work at home, the digital patterns for all of the embroidery files came from EthePony, who rocks.

But why Bon Bon? Well, besides the fact she is adorable I wanted to pick a pony that would likely never be chosen for such an endeavor. Background ponies always deserve love. Plus, picking Bon Bon let me throw in some Lyrabon with the saddle bag reference.
